Department of Biblical Theology at NCU conducts research on the Books of Holy Scripture with a special emphasis on theological content characteristic of each of the inspired texts. The aim of the research is the right exegetic understanding of the word of God and its content. The research focuses on the questions from other theological disciplines, especially from dogmatic and moral theology. The aim of the research is to demonstrate the unity of the revelation of the Old and New Testament using the method of Biblical theme study.

Department of Christian Philosophy of the Faculty of Theology at NCU focuses on research on Christian vision of the world offering introduction to philosophy for students of theology. Our research encompasses the results of exact sciences and the latest findings in philosophy, especially studies on the more profound understanding and interpretation of a human being, freedom, the relation between man, God and the world. Research analysis of philosophical texts emphasises, apart from classical themes, contemporary approach to theodicy originating from the new philosophical and ideological trends.

Professor Marian Grabowski (Full Professor) is the head of the Department of Christian Philosophy of the Faculty of Theology, NCU. He has been employed at NCU since 1975. In the years 1975-1992 he was working at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and in the years 1992-2001 he was affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities. On September 1, 2001 he joined the Faculty of Theology as an associate professor.
