Institute of Geography Department of Climatology Climate of Northern Poland
A natural study area at the Instutute of Geography is Northern Poland, especially its middle part. At the Department of Climatology the regional climate conditions are studied. We begun a long and arduous period of climatologic data collection. On their basis we have published many papers about the air temperature, precipitation, sunshine duration and thermal seasons. We studied also forest climate on the example of "Piwnice Forest", urban climate, and urban heat islane in Toruń.
